For the majority of things, we are intentionally avoiding batteries like the plague. It really annoys us that everything these days lights up and plays a song. Whatever happened to kids toys that they have to play with?
For instance - I saw a little musical piano the other day. When the baby pushes a key, the keyboard lights up and it automatically plays a song. That's all fine and dandy but what in the heck is it doing for your kid? I'd get the old fashioned piano toys where they touch the key and it plays a single note
