About Star Wars Ships

The saga of Star Wars depicts the eternal battle between two clans, the Sith and Jedi. Both the clans survive off and use ’The Force’ ñ a binding, metaphysical and ubiquitous power. The series spanning six full length motion pictures has one the world’s largest fan following since the release of the first movie. The movie depicts fast and furious battle between the two clans in the wide, empty void of space, featuring large, heavily armoured space ships that fall into the star ship category of space vehicles. Basically, all the spaceships that are not intended for travelling between star systems or galaxies as known on Earth are called Spaceships. All other class of ships are known as Starships. The series presents on the screen many a starship that belong to either cruisers, battleships, and capital ships. Each such ship features a different propulsion system, passenger or infantry capacity, and available active firepower for protection. The most notable battleships are the Droid Control Ship and the legendary Trade Federation Battleship. The TFB measures over three kilometers in diameter and can carry up to 10 million droids, 50 Trade Federation Landing Ships, 1, 500 Droid Starfighters, 550 MTTs, 6, 250 AATs and 1, 500 PACs. It was the largest ship with an enormous firepower comprising 42 quad-laser emplacements scattered all over the ship, 66 dual laser cannons, 500 proton torpedo tubes and 40 point-defense ion cannons, enough to destroy a battleship matching its size in minutes. The other most notable ship or rather station is the ’The Death Star’. This massive unit was built specifically to annihilate an entire planet using one single energy blast. Both these ships are ardently admired by fans. Most of the ships are available on popular online stores. Many are available as Star Wars Lego Ships for children and adult fans alike.
