Pokemon Toys For Sale

I Collect Tomy Pokemon Figures. These are 1.5 to 2 inch plastic models of characters from the popular Pokémon video games and animated series. They are manufactured by Takara Tomy.

I'll try and be as accurate as I can with the description. Some of this info I got from other sources, which I've listed at the bottom of this description.

They were sold in several different sets under an assortment of names and with varying styles of packaging, but they are all basically the same except for some minor color differences.

They were distributed by Hasbro in the Pokémon Battle Figures, Poké Ball Blaster, Poké-Packs, Grabber Ball, and Deluxe Trainer lines from 1999-2003 (1), and by Tomy in the Pokémon Monster Collection and Pokémon Figure Collection lines from 1998-now (2).

The Hasbro lines came with round cardboard discs (Battle Discs) with pictures and details about the Pokémon. The Grabber Ball line came with tiny, round "Badges" containing various pictures of Pokémon, and Poké balls that snapped shut. The Poke Ball Blasters line came with Game Boy like toys that shot out Poké balls when a trigger was pressed (1).

The Pokémon Monster Collection line does not include the discs, but some figures came with unique odds and ends such as small plastic poke balls, fossils, a separate bone for Cubone, and a separate stick for Farfetc'd.

These figures are very hard to find, especially the older ones, particularly because they are bootlegged to death.

Pokemon themselves come in 5 different generations, each corresponding to the game they first appeared in. I have figures of most of the characters from generations 1 and 2 and a few from 3, 4 and 5. I am mainly concerned with completing my collection of generations 1 and 2.

Note: Many of these figures were bought at yard sales or off eBay and did not come with their original packaging or accessories, so I 'm missing some info such as the version, and year and order of release. If any of you have details on a specific figure that I have not included, feel free to add it in a comment on the figure's page. I will add it to the description if I get a chance. Thank you in advance to anyone who contributes information.

Also, one of the reasons I'm showing my collection is so other collectors of these figures have a resource to use in their search. Feel free to use these photos in articles, wish lists, or for other research purposes. Please do not claim the photos as yours (cite the source if possible) or use these photos as stock for sales. Buyers deserve to see the actual photos of the items they are buying. I frequent e-Bay and will report any auctions using obvious copies of these photos. Below are some citations and sources of more information.

Here's where I got most of the info I didn't already know:

Toys R Us is just as bad

I worked there for a year when I was 18 and trying to figure out what I wanted to do. They told me in the interview I would be full time with full benefits (this was during the christmas season) and told the same thing to many other people they hired.
As soon as January hit we had the choice of working 30-35 hours and losing our benefits or being laid off. They didnt even tell you individually..they paraded us all like cattle to a "store meeting" and announced it. They even did it to those people that had worked there a year or more. In a store of nearly 100 employees..only management where actually full time

Other cities around North America have tried incentives, but they usually involve handing out coupons for toys or fast food or a chance to win a bicycle to people who are wearing helmets.
